History of The Ashram Mount Eliza
The Ashram in Mount Eliza, Victoria was established in 1996 by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shankarananda (Guruji or Swamiji) and Devi Ma Saraswati. For 24 years The Ashram has served as a school of second education (a term coined by Swami Shankarananda): meaning the education of the mind and the emotions. A thriving spiritual resource, The Ashram serves to awaken people to a higher purpose and deeper meaning to their lives. Who am I? Why am I here? There are regular weekly programs held at The Ashram by Guruji, including our weekly Saturday night satsang program. Anyone and everyone is welcome to visit The Ashram, participate in one of our online satsangs, Self-inquiry trainings or our weekly schedule. Guruji and Devi Ma love to meet new people.

“Finding The Ashram changed my life. Learning to meditate and how to access the place of deep stillness and love within me is just one of the many things that Guruji and Devi Ma have done for me and my family.”
